The Birth of Lord Krishna

Once upon a time, in the beautiful city of Mathura, there lived a cruel king named Kansa. He was the ruler of Mathura and was known for his harsh and unfair ways.

Kansa had a sister named Devaki, who was married to Vasudeva. On the day of their wedding, a divine voice announced that Devaki’s eighth child would defeat Kansa.

Kansa became frightened and angry. He decided to imprison Devaki and Vasudeva so that he could prevent the prediction from coming true.

Krishna Is Born

Years passed, and Devaki and Vasudeva were kept in jail. one special night, Devaki gave birth to her eighth child. It was Lord Krishna. It was midnight, and the prison was filled with a peaceful divine light. According to the story, Vasudeva was guided to take the newborn Krishna safely to Gokul, where Nanda and Yashoda lived.

The night was dark, but Vasudeva bravely began his journey carrying baby Krishna.

Vasudeva Crosses the Yamuna

Vasudeva reached the Yamuna River with baby Krishna in his arms. The river was flowing strongly, but he carefully stepped into the water. according to the story, Sheshnag, the divine serpent associated with Lord Vishnu, appeared above Krishna and protected him from the rain with his hood. with divine help, Vasudeva safely crossed the Yamuna and reached Gokul.

Baby Krishna Arrives in Gokul

In Gokul, Nanda and Yashoda had just welcomed a baby girl. Vasudeva gently placed baby Krishna beside Yashoda and returned to Mathura with the baby girl.

When Kansa heard that Devaki’s eighth child had been born, he came to the jail. But when he tried to harm the baby girl, she suddenly escaped from his hands and revealed that Krishna was already safe.

Meanwhile, little Krishna grew up in Gokul surrounded by love, happiness, and wonderful childhood adventures.

Krishna became famous for his playful nature. He loved butter and was often called Makhan Chor because of his playful attempts to steal butter.

He also loved playing the flute and spending time with his friends.

As Krishna grew older, his stories became symbols of love, friendship, courage, kindness, and the victory of good over evil.
